Configuration of your computer to use Java applets

Java Applets : the end is near

As of October 2024, the choice of web browsers for running Java applets is limited to a single option:

Microsoft Edge (under Windows), if operated in Internet Explorer Mode

unknown   You see on the left the name of the browser you are currently using:
If it is red, it cannot run applets
If it is orange, switch to IE mode
If it is green, you can run applets,
provided you install a Java 32bits virtual machine and configure Edge and your computer to allow applets to run

 

To be explicit, Chrome, FireFox, Safari, Opera and Edge in normal mode, and all the other browsers cannot run our applets.
