Configuration of your computer to use Java applets
Java Applets: still possible!
As of May 2026, the choice of web browsers for running Java applets is limited to a single option:
Microsoft Edge (under Windows), if operated in Internet Explorer Mode

You see on the left the name of the browser you are currently using: If it is red, it cannot run applets If it is orange, switch to IE mode If it is green, you can run applets, provided you install a Java 32bits virtual machine and configure Edge and your computer to allow applets to run |
To be clear, Chrome, FireFox, Safari, Opera and Edge in normal mode, and all the other browsers cannot run our applets.
